ABOUT  THE  INSTRUCTOR

KATHY NETTLES: Having earned medals in powerlifting, strongman and Tri-Fitness competitions to now having earned certifications as a Spiritual Wellness Specialist, certified Mindfulness/Meditation and Yoga Instructor,  I am using my extensive understanding of the human body and psyche to bring ease, strength, flexibility, calmness and peace of mind to those who are seeking their purpose in life.

Yoga is great for the body, but what about your heart and your spiritual wellbeing?  With each paddleboard yoga class, there will be a 10 minute meditation/mindfulness session.  Mindfulness has been highlighted as a key area of modern life since 2020 when the global pandemic took hold of everything. Finding mindfulness, creating a calm headspace, and empowering individuals is key to a happier life.

 

Not only are we offering meditation/mindfulness in our paddleboard yoga sessions, but we are using paddleboard yoga specific equipment.  The Aqua Marina Dhyana paddleboard is 11' long and 36" wide making the boards very stable and also  has a smooth, non-slip center, unlike other paddleboards that have handles in the center of the boards.  The Aqua Marina yoga dock has 8 slips creating an intimate class setting where participants can focus on their breath and yoga poses, and not worry about floating away.
